Van Gaal hails Fellaini after impressive cameo against QPR

Louis van Gaal was delighted with Marouane Fellaini‘s performance against QPR today and hailed his ability to help change a game.

The Belgian midfielder came off the bench to score an important goal with what was an excellent strike and his physical presence in midfield really helped United regain some midfield dominance against a resurgent QPR.

It’s not the first time this season that Fellaini has come off the bench to make a difference for United and Van Gaal hailed his influence.

“He is a player who wants to do what you ask and that’s always good for the team,” he said.

Since joining from Everton last year in a £27.5m deal, Fellaini has been heavily criticised by Man United fans after an underwhelming start to his United career but his renaissance under Van Gaal continued today.

Fellaini’s improved season is really pleasing to see after his poor start and on more than one occasion he has popped up at the right time with an important goal. Fans will certainly be hoping that he can continue his form throughout the whole season.
