Valdes is yet to appear for the club since signing at the start of January but could potentially make his debut against Cambridge United in the FA Cup on Friday night.
Falcao however started the match against QPR after being dropped from the squad against Southampton last week and despite several missed chances performed well overall.
The Colombian’s movement was superb once again and he showed plenty of fight and determination but the goal he deserved eluded him.

The 28-year-old was twice thwarted by Rob Green, firstly in the opening 45 minutes when he should have scored before Green made a superb reaction save in the second period.
It appeared as though Falcao had missed a sitter as the ball rolled through his legs three yards from goal from a James Wilson cross but replays showed Steven Caulker got a vital touch to intercept.
But squad harmony appears to be much higher than it was under David Moyes last season and United’s group of Spaniards seem to enjoying it as much as anyone!
