Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is continuing to work hard and looking to get himself in contention for more playing time ahead of Friday’s FA Cup clash with Cambridge United.
Pereira’s only previous performance this season was as a half-time substitute in the 4-0 defeat to MK Dons and the Brazilian didn’t get off the bench against Yeovil Town earlier this month.
But with many players needing a game, Pereira may have to wait again for more minutes but should be on the bench at the very least as United face League Two opposition in round four.
The 19-year-old was impressive in his cameo against MK Dons back in August and has impressed Louis van Gaal enough to continue training with the first team this season.
Pereira has been in good form for the U21 side at times in the last year, scoring a wonderful goal against Liverpool and it seems he is very much in van Gaal’s plans moving forward.
Whilst a loan spell next season may be necessary for the talented midfielder given United appear likely to spend big once again, he will hope to continue impressing in training alongside his Spanish-speaking team-mates and take his chance should it come along this weekend.
