Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha admits he is unsure whether or not he will return to Crystal Palace next season amid uncertainty over his Old Trafford future.
Zaha was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the last made by United’s former manager, after excelling with the current Premier League side on their way to promotion from the Championship but the 22-year-old never made much progress under David Moyes.
Relegated to the odd substitute appearance, Zaha was loaned to Cardiff City last season and put in several lively performances before returning to United in the summer.
“I don’t know, it’s something I can’t answer right now,” Zaha told reporters.
“I am just on loan. Coming back to Palace would be great but that’s in the future so I’ll decide then. I am happy to be back and in and around family. They come to most of the games and I get to go back home and analyse games.”
Zaha has shown flashes of his old brilliance at Selhurst Park and is clearly trying to show Van Gaal he deserves a chance next season, particularly given the lack of quality wingers United currently have in their squad.
The England international has also expressed the desire to return to Old Trafford and be successful with the club.
