Sports Direct have conducted some market research into shirt sales all across the United Kingdom from London to Manchester.
What they’ve found shows that Man United absolutely dominate shirt sales in Manchester with 95% of all sales in comparison to City’s 5%. You’d expect there to be a majority for United but not a complete landslide like that.
The city is yours? Are you sure? Manchester is Red.
Sports Direct also go one step further to take a look at the regional breakdown of sales which shows a big 44.71% majority in London. However, it’s still less than the 50.07% majority of Liverpool shirt sales.
Meanwhile, Manchester is United’s third biggest market in comparison to City’s sixth.
Taking another final look at some of the stats show that more City shirts are sold in Glasgow and Bristol than in Manchester. Stockport only counts for 6.30% of sales too, just over half of the 11.02% from Dublin.
