Luke Shaw has a new pair of boots ahead of his return to action with Manchester United, potentially this weekend.
Shaw was a mysterious absence against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday and him not being in the squad was never explained by Louis van Gaal after the game.
The 19-year-old has struggled with injuries ever since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer and returned from an ankle injury this month which had kept him out since November.
Shaw’s return to action against Yeovil Town was timely given Ashley Young suffered a hamstring injury on New Year’s Day against Stoke but the left-back was substituted against both Yeovil and his former club Southampton as United lost 1-0.
Whilst it wasn’t apparent in either game that the ex-Saints man had picked up an injury, Van Gaal hinted it was a planned substitution but the reason for his QPR absence is still unknown.
Ander Herrera has also got himself a new pair of boots ahead of tomorrow’s game against Cambridge and the Spaniard will be itching to get straight back into the starting XI.
