Manchester United have confirmed Will Keane has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old striker could go straight into the Championship side’s squad this weekend.
Keane has been in excellent goalscoring form for the U21s this season having seemingly overcome his injury problems but the rise of James Wilson means his opportunities are limited under Louis van Gaal, so a loan move is the best solution.

Prior to suffering a cruciate ligament injury, Keane was prolific for United’s U21s and there is a real hope he can re-find that sort of devastating form in front of goal when he gets regular first-team football.
We’ll be keeping track of Keane’s progress throughout the season and will bring you weekly updates on how he is getting on.
