Fletcher in talks with multiple clubs confirms Pulis

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has confirmed the club are waiting to hear back from Darren Fletcher over a decision about his future.

The Scottish midfielder is having discussions with ‘three or four clubs’ including the West Midlands side and is expected to leave the club.

The reliable Andy Mitten has said Fletcher’s departure is likely to happen before the end of January.

“He is talking to three or four clubs. We showed an interest and he’ll make a decision and we’ll wait and see,” Pulis said.

During his pre-match press conference yesterday, Louis van Gaal dismissed all reports linking Fletcher with an exit but Pulis’ comments on the contrary confirm he is already discussing his future with other clubs, something he is entitled to do with his contract expiring in the summer.

Fletcher, 30, a United player from when he was only a small boy, has become part of the furniture at Old Trafford but with ten days left in the transfer window, it seems the curtain will soon be closing on his playing career at the club in order for him to leave and get more first-team action.
