Man United vs Leicester: Team line-ups – Januzaj starts

by Richard Laverty

De Gea – Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Shaw – Blind – Rooney, Di Maria – Januzaj – van Persie, Falcao

Valdes, McNair, Smalling, Mata, Fellaini, Herrera, Wilson

Adnan Januzaj makes his first Premier League start for Manchester United since November in a midfield also containing Angel Di Maria and Wayne Rooney.

Luke Shaw returns to the starting line-up after missing the 2-0 win against QPR and playing just a few minutes against Cambridge last weekend. Shaw’s return allows Daley Blind to return to his favoured midfield position.

Antonio Valencia is once again preferred to Rafael despite a return to a back four. Valencia is quickly becoming a favoured choice of Louis van Gaal‘s and it appears the Brazilian’s days at Old Trafford are numbered.

Robin van Persie makes his first start since coming off injured in the 1-0 defeat to Southampton and will combine once again with Radamel Falcao.

Wayne Rooney and Angel Di Maria make up an unconventional midfield two whilst James Wilson and Ander Herrera have to make do with spots on the bench once again.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
