Pictures: Man United 3-1 Leicester – Falcao overjoyed with goal

by Richard Laverty

Manchester United recorded their second Premier League win in a row with a convincing display against bottom of the league Leicester City.

United looked up for it from the off and went out to avenge the infamous 5-3 defeat in the reverse fixture back in September. Taking a 3-0 lead into half-time, the team went through the motions in the second period and will now look to the FA Cup replay against Cambridge on Tuesday.

Robin van Persie was the man to give United the lead, getting on the end of Daley Blind‘s superb lofted pass although the Dutch striker was fractionally offside when he finished the move.

Radamel Falcao was a welcome goalscorer as United began to run riot in the first half and a Wes Morgan own goal right on half-time rounded things off. Leicester got a late consolation through Marcin Wasilewski but it was Louis van Gaal‘s side who left with the points.
