Manchester United centre-back Marcos Rojo took to Instagram on Saturday night to celebrate the team’s second Premier League win in a row.
It was also the second win in a row since Rojo returned to the team and the Argentine is quickly establishing himself as United’s best centre-back despite his inexperience of playing in England.
Whilst there were reservations about signing the defender from Sporting Lisbon in the summer, Rojo has enough experience under his built after playing in the World Cup final last year and is proving to be a solid purchase.
He struggled in his early days but has become a commanding figure who isn’t frightened of a tackle and is clearly up for the fight wherever United are playing, as shown in his performance against Cambridge last week.
The defender himself is yet to get off the mark for United despite his best efforts to claim he got a touch on Juan Mata‘s free-kick against Stoke in December.
Southampton’s surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Swansea City on Sunday afternoon means it’s a good weekend for the reds who remain in 3rd place ahead of the FA Cup replay on Tuesday night.
