Anderson’s move from Manchester United to Internacional appears to be moving closer to completion after the midfielder was pictured training with the Brazilian side.
Although Man United are yet to officially confirm the move, the pictures suggest that Anderson’s eight year association with the club is all but over.
The images have emerged after Juan Mata wished Anderson good luck on his move back to Brazil today. Writing on his weekly blog, Mata said: “Also, I want to wish good luck to my friend Anderson, who is back to football in his native Brazil. All the best, my friend!”
Reports earlier in January had suggested that there were no clubs interested in Anderson due to his high wage demands but the the 26-year-old now appears to finally be on his way out of Old Trafford.
Anderson enjoyed a good debut season for Man United but a combination of injuries, loss of form and a lack of motivation derailed his once promising career. In recent years, Anderson has become the butt of jokes among United fans.
Despite his fall from grace, Anderson will have fond memories of his time at the club, including scoring a penalty in United’s 2008 Champions League win.
