Fans’ view on Anderson leaving Man United

by Ben Topliss

Anderson’s spell at Manchester United has come to an end after Brazilian side Internacional announced they had signed the midfielder.

The 26-year-old joined Man United in 2007 in a transfer worth £26m and enjoyed a promising debut season but his performances deteriorated in recent years. Through a combination of injuries, loss of form and a lack of motivation, Anderson could never quite fulfill the potential he showed as a promising youngster. Eventually, he became something of a joke figure towards the end of his time at Old Trafford.

Now that Anderson has left the club, we asked fans what their final thoughts were on the midfielder and his career at Old Trafford.

Despite his stuttering career at Man United, Anderson can point to a hefty trophy cabinet. During his eight year spell at the club, he won four Premier Leagues, the Champions League, two League Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Will Anderson be missed as a footballer? No, he never played. That being said, he was always good for a laugh, so his personality will more than likely be missed at training.
