Manchester United overcame Cambridge United in a routine 3-0 victory to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

A first minute scare saw Tom Elliott strike the post but beyond that, the home side were never tested and it was a polar opposite to the game at the Abbey Stadium.

First half goals from Juan Mata an a first for the club for Marcos Rojo put United in control before substitute James Wilson added a third shortly after his arrival during the second period.

The likes of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and co all had chances to further extend the lead and even Paddy McNair had a few chances to score.

It was a rare comfortable evening for supporters, players and manager alike and now United face a trip to Preston in the next round.
