Cambridge United’s Ryan Donaldson has taken to social media to reveal that Juan Mata asked for his shirt following their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United on Tuesday.
Mata scored Man United’s opener in the fourth round FA Cup tie, with goals from Marcos Rojo and James Wilson later sealing the win.
Despite the result, both sides seem to have enjoyed the occasion and swapped shirts after the game. For Cambridge, a side who were close to going under due to financial woes, it was a day they’ll remember regardless of the scre:
Also managed to grab Mata's shirt at the end. And for some strange reason he asked for mine, so now Juan Mata has a Cambridge shirt! Surreal

The game was a good one for Man United and they put on a solid performance but Cambridge more than held their own during the opening exchanges and came close to scoring inside the first minute when Tom Elliott hit the post.
It was also nice to see the applause for former Man United player Luke Chadwick, who received a standing ovation from both sets of fans after he was substituted during the game.
