Blind happy with goal but gutted with West Ham draw

by Richard Laverty

Daley Blind was Manchester United’s saviour against West Ham as he equalised in the 92nd minute, not for the first time this season.

Blind has been a welcome return to United’s midfield after missing almost two months of the season out injured but he has hit top form since recovering.

The Dutchman popped up with a great finish as United pressed for a late equaliser and Blind had did well overall given he was left exposed by a midfield including just one defensive player, himself.

It was Blind’s second goal for United after scoring a late goal against West Brom back in October and he was pleased to find the net when taking to social media after the match.

Blind returned to his preferred midfield role against Leicester last weekend and immediately began to control proceedings, setting up Robin van Persie in what was a perfect display.

The midfielder was unlucky not to add to his growing tally of goals, seeing his header deflect in off Wes Morgan and Blind showed more of that class to pop up when United needed a hero.

Blind is quickly becoming a fans’ favourite at Man United and scoring important late goals is a sure fire way of strengthening that bond with fans.
