Fans’ view – Should Man Utd sign Radamel Falcao?

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United fans have been split down the middle as to whether or not the club should sign Radamel Falcao permanently in the summer.

The Colombian was brought to Old Trafford on loan from Monaco last year amid a flurry of excitement but a combination of injuries and lack of form has contributed to a disappointing spell at United for Falcao so far this season.

The 28-year-old was poor in United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Sunday and failed to strike up a decent partnership with Robin van Persie up top.

We asked United fans whether they would bring in the former Atletico Madrid and Porto player permanently next season and it’s clear how polarised the fans currently are about him:

United and Monaco have reportedly agreed a fee for Falcao should United wish to sign him but it would be hard to justify what would be a substantial fee unless his performances significantly improve towards the tail end of the season.

When fit and on form Falcao is one of the deadliest strikers in the world and United fans will be hoping he can get back to that level as they bid to secure Champions League football next season.
