Manchester United scouts were busy watching Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala in action this weekend in Italy.
Gianluca di Marzio reports that the Argentinian duo were who Man United’s focus was on during Sunday’s game between Inter Milan and Palermo. Icardi was in fantastic form with a brace against Palermo so would have caught the eye of Man United’s scouts.
With Radamel Falcao’s future far from secure and Robin van Persie also misfiring, Man United are understandably keeping their options open with potential strikers who could be signed in the summer.
Man United were first linked with Dybala after Palermo’s president Maurizio Zamparini said United were interested in signing him and we followed up the interest by compiling a transfer profile on Dybala to offer a better insight into the Argentinian striker.
As for Icardi, the 21-year-old hasn’t been particularly linked with a move to Old Trafford but with 19 goals in 28 appearances this season for Inter Milan, it’s more than understandable that Louis van Gaal wants his scouts to keep an eye on him.
We’ll be bringing you some insight into Icardi via interviews with the local press in Italy to find out more about how he has got on this season as well as an updated look into Dybala.
