Wayne Rooney‘s position has been one of the most talked about topics this week so ahead of Manchester United’s game against Burnley tonight, we asked The Peoples Person’s readers a question:
“Who would you drop out of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie so that Wayne Rooney could start up front against Burnley?”
There was a real diversity in the answers we got back. While plenty felt Van Persie was the right man to drop, there were just as many who argued Falcao was the player who should be sacrificed.
As well as dropping both players individually, some thought Van Persie and Falcao both deserved to be dropped in order to let Rooney play up front alongside Wilson, a partnership which hasn’t had much, if any, opportunity to flourish so far under Louis van Gaal.
Here’s what some fans thought about the question of whether to drop Van Persie or Falcao for Rooney:
@PeoplesPerson_ would play falcao with Wilson up top, rooney in behind

@PeoplesPerson_ RVP right now

@PeoplesPerson_ if i choose someone to accommodate Rooney, it would be RvP.. but i see some hope on Falcao-Wilson duet in QPR's match before

@PeoplesPerson_ definitely V.Persie, u can see effort in what Falcao is doing, movement is better too.
