Marcos Rojo thanks Manchester United fans after Burnley win

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has thanked fans for their support following the 3-1 win against Burnley on Wednesday.

Rojo played at left back because of Luke Shaw’s suspension and produced another assured performance as Man United sealed an important three points.

It was an important victory for United, who had to weather a particularly uncomfortable first half against Burnley.

The Argentine has quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite at Old Trafford and he thanked fans for their continued support after the match:

Danny Ings had cancelled out Chris Smalling’s opener during a frantic opening period and Burnley pushed United back as they looked to edge in front.

Another goal from Smalling and a late penalty from Robin van Persie eventually secured the win for Louis van Gaal’s side.

United were poor defensively in the first half with the performance of Jonny Evans in particular leaving a lot to be desired but Rojo composed himself and again stood out.

He will be an important player for United as they bid to qualify for the Champions League next season.
