Preston North End manager Simon Grayson has told his players to enjoy their fifth round FA Cup tie against Manchester United on Monday.
Man United will travel to Deepdale as overwhelming favourites to win the game but Grayson says he is eager for his side to enjoy the occasion.
Speaking about the glamour tie, Grayson said: ”We’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain, and that is what we’ll do. We’ll go and enjoy playing against some of the best players in the world – fantastic atmosphere, massive profile for the football club and a tie we’re looking forward to and should enjoy.”
Man United may be favourites for the clash but fans have already seen this season that the best team on paper will not automatically win the game.
Against Cambridge United in the fourth round, United struggled and missed a number of good chances on the way to a disappointing 0-0 draw. United eventually beat the League Two side 3-0 in the replay at Old Trafford but were lucky not to go behind when Cambridge striker Tom Elliott hit the post.
United will take nothing for granted and will have to be at their best if they are to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.
