Long gone are the days where Manchester United ‘waste of money’ Marouane Fellaini is being jeered by his own supporters.
The fall guy for David Moyes’s poor ten months in charge, Fellaini received an unfortunate welcome when United hosted Valencia in pre-season, ironic cheers greeting his every touch.
Against Preston, Fellaini received the man of the match award, scored his fourth goal of the season and every one of them has proved crucial.
On Monday night it saw United take the lead after initially trailing 1-0 and the fans are now starting to see the Belgian has an important role in the squad.
The rise of Fellaini is more important than the fall of Falcao for me.

Fellaini looks very good upfront.. Gradually looking important like his Everton days.

Fellaini playing much better since the Falcao sub. Has his own space and isn’t budging into the other players now.

If you’re going to play fellaini it seems logical to cross the ball. Who knew?

Fellaini had almost no role in van Gaal’s fluent looking side in the early part of the season but a half-time substitution against West Brom in October changed his United career.
He scored his first official goal minutes after coming on and has become one of the most important members of United’s squad ever since which is a real testament to his mental strength to have overcome his early problems at the club.
