Pereira’s contract expires in the summer and as Man United haven’t yet agreed on an extension there is heavy speculation over his future at the club after the 19-year-old rejected the club’s first offer.
Now, it is the turn of his former club PSV to have their name thrown into the hat as VI reports that preliminary contact has been established with his father.
From a fans’ perspective, Pereira has had an excellent campaign of progression.
Not only did he make his Man United senior debut in the Capital One Cup against MK Dons but he has been kept with the first-team squad in training all season by Louis van Gaal, which is a testament to the talent the United boss sees in him.
Yet, either due to a lack of reassurance of potentially money issues, Pereira is yet to sign a new contract with the club despite the very positive year he has had, especially when you take into account that he only turned 19 in January.
Pereira can hardly be surprised he isn’t getting Premier League action for United currently when the likes of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata aren’t even getting regular game time but it seems the youngster thinks otherwise.
