Manchester United’s Will Keane backed to become top player

Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray has piled praise on Manchester United’s Will Keane as the young striker was back among the goals for Sheffield Wednesday.

Keane scored the second goal in Sheffield Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough and speaking about his performance, Gray insisted he had no doubt about his ability to become a top player in the future.

Gray also praised Keane’s intellgence and defended the quality of his goal which came as a rebound off the woodwork, pointing out his positional intuition rather than labeling it as luck.

Keane has enjoyed a good start to his loan spell out with Sheffield Wednesday and it really is a great sight to see him back among the goals on a regular basis, something which happened almost every week with Man United’s U21s prior to his injury back in 2012.

It was so sad to see Keane sidelined with his cruciate ligament injury back in 2012 but having had to endure a long road to recovery, he is now getting back among the goals on a regular basis and will be growing in confidence with each passing game week.
