Angel Di Maria was once again subbed off as Manchester United left it late to beat Newcastle United on Wednesday night.
To be fair to the Argentine, he was much livelier than against Sunderland and was really starting to cause a few issues for the hosts before he came off after an hour.
A beautiful ball over the top moments earlier saw Wayne Rooney have a goal wrongly disallowed and if the effort had stood, Di Maria would have hit the headlines for the right reasons.
Fans were less complimentary on Saturday but it’s clear supporters saw more life in the club record signing against Newcastle.
Di Maria looked on it for the first 20minutes then it slipped away. Needs something to drop for him.

Di Maria was fucking wank for half of the game but he kept trying & created a couple of great chances.

I am actually so incensed that we took Di Maria off. So so pissed off.

For all the criticism Di Maria gets, United have created much less since he's been taken off. Pity.

All you lads giving out about Di Maria, tell me how many chances we've created since he's gone off. Yep.

With United coming into such a pivotal run of games, Louis van Gaal has a big decision to make if he feels Di Maria is hampering the team’s performances.
But the side seemed to struggle for pace after the Argentine’s withdrawal and it would be hard to believe Di Maria won’t face Arsenal on Monday night.
