Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria is ready and raring to go ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final meeting with Arsenal on Monday night.
Arsenal travel to Old Trafford in good form having won eight of their last ten games in the Premier League.
Man United have struggled in recent weeks and only just scraped past Newcastle United 1-0 on Wednesday night. Di Maria has also suffered from a dip in form and was substituted early in United’s last two games.
Despite this, Di Maria says he is relishing the chance to play against the Gunners as he wants to test himself against the best players.
Speaking about the game, Di Maria said: “I always like to play in big games when you have the chance to play against great players who are high in quality.
“When you play against a top side it’s even more enjoyable and it’s even more of a source of motivation. So when you win big games like this it’s a good thing both individually and for the group as a whole. Let’s hope that things continue to go well for me in big matches as I have got some lovely memories.”
Di Maria will need to be back to his best if United are to triumph against Arsenal.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud will be a real thorn in United’s side and players such as Di Maria will be invaluable on the break. In the last fixture between the two sides earlier this season a strike from Wayne Rooney and an own goal from Kieran Gibbs settled the clash 2-1 in United’s favour.
