Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain taunts Luke Shaw after Arsenal win against Manchester United

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taunted Manchester United’s Luke Shaw on Twitter following the FA Cup quarter-final clash between the two sides on Monday night.

Wayne Rooney cancelled out Nacho Monreal’s opener on the night but Danny Welbeck sealed a 2-1 victory for Arsenal with a late winner.

The win was Arsenal’s first victory at Old Trafford since 2006 and left Man United facing the very real prospect of another trophyless season.

Prior to the game, Shaw had suggested he was confident about United’s chances and tweeted Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere with the hashtag #sorrynotsorry:

Oxlade-Chamberlain responded by posting a picture of him smirking after the victory along with the same hashtag:

The result was a desperately disappointing one for United as they were the masters of their own downfall.

Antonio Valencia gifted Arsenal their two goals and Angel di Maria needlessly got himself sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the space of a minute. The team’s top four ambitions are under real threat and they will need to play much better starting with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
