Gareth Southgate has called Jesse Lingard up to the England U21s squad for their upcoming games against Czech Republic and Germany.

The 22-year-old is currently enjoying a successful loan spell with Derby in the Championship and has been rewarded for his good form with a spot in the U21s squad.

Lingard is the only Man United player selected for the U21s by Southgate because Michael Keane has now moved to Burnley on a permanent transfer.

Here is the squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Marcus Bettinelli (Fulham), Jonathan Bond (Watford), Jack Butland (Stoke City)

Defenders: Calum Chambers (Arsenal), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Garbutt (Everton), Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough), Carl Jenkinson (West Ham United – loan from Arsenal), Michael Keane (Burnley), Liam Moore (Brentford – loan from Leicester City), John Stones (Everton), Matt Targett (Southampton)

Midfielders: Tom Carroll (Swansea City – loan from Tottenham Hotspur), Nathaniel Chalobah (Reading – loan from Chelsea), Jake Forster-Caskey (Brighton & Hove Albion), Will Hughes (Derby County), Jesse Lingard (Derby County – loan from Manchester United), Alex Pritchard (Brentford – loan from Tottenham Hotspur), Nathan Redmond (Norwich City), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

Forwards: Patrick Bamford (Middlesbrough – loan from Chelsea), Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion), Danny Ings (Burnley), Callum Wilson (AFC Bournemouth)

Lingard had a very strong pre-season with Man United but suffered a bad ankle injury during his senior debut on the opening day of the season against Swansea which ruled him out for half the year.

Having returned to fitness, Lingard was given the opportunity to join Derby on loan and is now enjoying a promotion push with the Championship side which will help him improve as a player.
