Fans’ view: Would a goal against Liverpool help Radamel Falcao turn it around?

by Ben Topliss

There is a certain irony in the fact that Radamel Falcao couldn’t buy a goal for Manchester United right now despite earning upwards of £250,000 a week at Old Trafford.

Once revered as one of the world’s best strikers, Falcao’s fall from grace has been rapid and absolute.

The Colombian could only manage a brief cameo from the substitute’s bench in the victory over Tottenham Hotspur, while he was forced to play for the U21s last week.

However, some fans still maintain the hope that Falcao could yet recapture his best form in a United shirt. With this in mind, we asked our Twitter followers if a goal against Liverpool on Sunday could kickstart his United career:

Most fans feel Falcao has ran out of time to impress at United and that the club must chalk down his spell at the club as a failure but there are those still holding out in hope he can still come good, despote time being completely against him.

The situation is a desperately sad one when you consider how excited fans were when Falcao flew to Manchester on deadline day last summer. Unfortunately, a couple of serious knee injuries appears to have robbed the player of his best form.
