Fans’ view: How much do you think Falcao would cost if Manchester United sign him?

by Ben Topliss

To say Radamel Falcao’s future at Manchester United currently looks bleak would be an understatement.

With just four goals to his name at Old Trafford, the Colombian has been left on the substitute’s bench by Louis van Gaal in recent weeks.

Falcao even played for Man United’s U21s earlier this month, summing up a dramatic fall from grace for a striker who was once considered one of the world’s best.

Will United sign Falcao for the £43m price quoted earlier this year? We asked our Twitter followers what they think the price should be if the club were to buy the 29-year-old this summer:

It seems as if fans would be happy for United to pay around £20m for Falcao but even that would be steep for a player who has made little to no impact this season.

At the moment, Falcao is living off his reputation alone and that won’t earn him a permanent move, especially when you consider he is on the best part (if not more than) £250,000 a week.

Van Gaal is said to be looking elsewhere for attacking options, with Palermo’s Paulo Dybala and Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi both linked with United in recent months.
