Manchester United pushing for Memphis Depay transfer – report

Manchester United’s interest in Memphis Depay is getting more serious and PSV have already opened up talks with potential replacements, according to reports emanating from Holland.

Voetbal International suggests the interest from Man United is now so strong that PSV have already opened talks with FC Twente for Jesus Corona as an alternative for Depay.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Man United more so than any other player since Louis van Gaal took over in the summer.

Depay himself helped speculation spread like by dropping some hints on social media about where his future lay.

Last year, VI.nl was at the forefront of breaking news with regards to van Gaal becoming United’s new manager and they very well could be in the same position this year with Depay.

With United finally switching to a 4-3-3 formation, the football has been scintillating against Spurs and Liverpool but with Angel di Maria still misfiring, there is still a major need for a pacey winger in van Gaal’s side.

A young, vibrant, Dutch winger who van Gaal knows very well is somebody who could slot seamlessly into United’s side, so the links to Depay are logical and fans are certainly hoping they are substantiated.
