Falcao: I have faith about remaining at Manchester United next season

Radamel Falcao still has confidence that he will be at Manchester United next season.

The 29-year-old scored once again tonight to make it three goals in two appearances during the international break away with Colombia and admits he’s now heading back to Old Trafford with much more confidence.

As for whether his future remains at Man United, it’s clear from these latest quotes that Falcao does still feel it can happen.

When questioned after Colombia’s 3-1 win over Kuwait about whether he expected to be a United player next season,Falcao replied: “I have faith about that. When the season finishes I’m going to sit to think about my future and see what is the best for my career.”

Having struggled so much in front of goal with Man United, Falcao re-found his goalscoring form with Colombia and although it was against inferior opposition in Bahrain and Kuwait, goals are what he needed to lift his confidence.

“When I score it’s always important,” he said.

“That gives me confidence. I said before, I need minutes; I need to play games in a row. Here with the national team, I had that opportunity and I gave my best. I scored and I return now to Manchester with more confidence.

“We have the last eight games. I will give my best to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible. I need only to play, to get minutes. I am confident in myself and about my fitness.”

While there are not even any guarantees for Falcao that he will start a game between now and the end of the season, Louis van Gaal will at least be happy that his striker has found his goalscoring boots.
