Ben Amos has been named Bolton Wanderers’ Player of the Month for March after some fantastic performances.
The 24-year-old won with a landslide 46% of the vote ahead of Tom Walker (18%) and Adam Le Fondre (15%), so the fans must have been really impressed with how Amos has got on.
Due to injuries, Amos played every minute of Bolton’s five matches in March, conceded only four goals and kept a clean sheet against Millwall.
It is the first time Amos has been nominated for the award and he won it on his first time around, so congratulations to Ben on his award.
Amos will be delighted with the award if only for his career because with David de Gea only getting better and Victor Valdes sitting on the bench, Amos’ opportunities will be far and few between under Louis van Gaal.
Now he is 24, Amos will be keen to make the most out of his loan spell before seeking a permanent exit in the summer and if he keeps on winning awards, it certainly won’t take him long to find a new club away from Old Trafford.
