Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind has praised Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney after the duo both got on the score-sheet against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Herrera grabbed himself a brace at Old Trafford while Rooney scored a superb goal after pulling down Angel di Maria’s pass.

Blind also put in a fantastic performance during the match and hardly put a foot wrong all afternoon.

The Dutchman was delighted with the win as the team continued their goal of qualifying for the Champions League:

Blind is really making the left-back position his own having now put in three superb performances there in a row.

Luke Shaw has recovered from an injury but it is unlikely that the 19-year-old will get back into the starting XI given the good form of the former Ajax man.

It seems as if Blind will remain in the team as long as they are winning and it doesn’t look like United will lose any time soon. Regardless, It is a good problem for Louis van Gaal to have and fans will be delighted that this is the case.
