PSV are preparing for Memphis Depay‘s impending exit this summer.
The Dutch winger has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and manager Phillip Cocu has already said he expects the 21-year-old to leave PSV.
Technical director Marcel Brand has now commented on Depay’s future and admitted there were several top clubs around Europe interested in signing him.
“There’s a very big chance he’ll leave,” Brands told De Telegraaaf.
“The clubs enquiring about him are at the best in Europe.”
Brands praised Depay’s ‘incredible’ ability at 21 and would love for him to stay at the Dutch side for another year but appreciated it was an unlikely scenario because of how good he has been.
Fans would love to see Depay join United and his previous relationship with Louis van Gaal means there is certainly plenty of reason why Old Trafford is the perfect destination for him when he leaves the Eredivisie this summer.
PSV have conceded that Depay will leave this year and everything is in place for him to join United so long as van Gaal wants him. Over to you, Ed Woodward.
Why wouldn’t van Gaal want Depay? He is the perfect player to compliment a 4-3-3 formation and could be lethal on the wing at Old Trafford.
