Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao believes Sergio Aguero is Manchester City’s most dangerous player.
Aguero has scored six goals against Man United since arriving at the Etihad in the summer of 2011 and is (unfortunately) one of the best striker’s in the Premier League.
Although the Argentine has dropped off in terms of goalscoring in recent weeks, he has enjoyed a fine campaign having scored 17 times.
Falcao knows his United team-mates must be wary of Aguero when the two side’s meet in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Falcao said: “They [City] are a very talented team, with a danger all over the pitch, but Sergio Aguero has been a really dangerous player for Manchester United in the past matches.
“He scored many goals, and always needs to be watched carefully. If there is one player more than others to watch out for, I’d say it is Aguero.”
Aguero is undoubtedly a quality player but United will need to be equally mindful of players such as David Silva, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri if they are to win all three points from the match.
Silva, in particular, has shown throughout his City career that he can pull the strings in midfield if given time and space on the ball.
Marouane Fellaini will be a key player for Louis van Gaal as he looks to minimise the impact Aguero and Silva have on the game. The big Belgian will use his physical presence to get in amongst the diminutive duo and give them no time on the ball.
