It’s always great to see Manchester United legend’s watching on from the stands and there were a couple today at Stamford Bridge.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Park-Ji Sung were both in London today to watch Man United take on Chelsea and it’s the first time we’ve seen Park since he was unveiled as a United Ambassador earlier this season.
They would have been pleasantly surprised with how United fared in the first half because they were in total control. United were always going to have lots of possession thanks to Jose Mourinho’s defensive set-up but it was the confidence with which United played the ball forward that was impressive.
Unfortunately, one moment of magic from Eden Hazard was enough to give Chelsea the lead going into half-time.
United were far better in the second half but a stubborn Chelsea defence remained resilient and held out for the win.
It was the sort of performance Sir Alex had his teams do so often on the way to becoming champions and although Chelsea were not the better team on the day, they came away with three points.
