Manchester United lost their first game since the 2-1 defeat to Swansea, thanks to a single goal from Eden Hazard at the end of the first half.

For large parts of the game, United controlled events at Stamford Bridge, leaving the home side with just 29%, but the soon-to-be champions placed everyone behind the ball after the opener.

Despite their performance, United struggled to create chances. Wayne Rooney fired wide early on and Radamel Falcao hit the post in the second half, but besides that it was a case of half chances as Chelsea frustrated the visitors.

Louis van Gaal appeared happy with the performance post-match and supporters would have accepted nine points from 12 from the last four fixtures, but most will feel without injuries, United would have got something on Saturday.
