4-3-3: Manchester United’s Potential XI vs Everton – RVP starts

by Sam Peoples

It was typical for Manchester United that their six game winning streak was cut short thanks in no small part due to injuries.

Michael Carrick and Daley Blind‘s absence from the team forced Wayne Rooney into a deeper role and Radamel Falcao didn’t carry enough goal threat as his replacement.

With that in mind, what happens against Everton if both Carrick and Blind are both out? Does Falcao come back into the team despite disappointing? Potentially, but Robin van Persie has now given him another option to James Wilson.

Last night, the Dutchman played for the first time since injuring himself in February and lasted 60 minutes against Leicester City’s U21s. Now that he has those minutes under his belt, van Persie will be keen to get back into action but the real question is whether United are equally as keen for him to return?
