Carlos Bacca rules out Sevilla departure amid Manchester United interest

Carlos Bacca has insisted he is happy at Sevilla and will only leave the Spanish side if they decide to sell him.

Reports earlier this week suggested Man United were preparing a £15m bid for the player, who has scored 21 goals this season.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be keeping their eye on Bacca as they look to expand their attacking options.

However, the 28-year-old insisted that the only way he will leave Sevilla is if the club wants him to.

Speaking about his future, Bacca said: ”I will only leave Sevilla if the club want me to go. I am happy here and have no intention of leaving.”

United fans may have been hoping for a higher calibre of player than Bacca to arrive at Old Trafford this summer but the fact that Bacca is being linked doesn’t bode well for Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.

Both players have struggled to show their best form this season and there are growing rumours that they will be moved on at the end of the season. In their place, Louis van Gaal is said to be interested in players such as Edinson Cavani, Paulo Dybala and Robert Lewandowski.
