Manchester United keeper David de Gea has capped off a wonderful season by being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
The Spaniard’s sensational form has earned him a number of plaudits over the course of the campaign and his place in the XI is fully deserved ahead of Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris.
De Gea is joined by the likes of Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa, Harry Kane and Nemanja Matic.
It is a fantastic team but the inclusion of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho may raise a few eyebrows:
Without the 24-year-old, Louis van Gaal’s side would certainly not be in the good position that they are now.
However, Van Gaal revealed this week that De Gea is still undecided over whether or not to sign a new contract at United. Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the player and there is a real fear that he will leave the club in the summer.
