Javier Hernandez continues fine Real Madrid form with an assist

Javier Hernandez started his third consecutive game for Real Madrid last night in their 3-0 win over Almeria and once again played an important role for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The Mexican striker completed the full 90 minutes and put in a fantastic cross which Alvaro Arbeloa duly converted for Madrid’s third goal of the night.

It now means that Hernandez has scored three goals and grabbed an assist in his last three performances for Madrid and cemented his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI for the time being, or at least until Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema return from injury.

After a season of disappointments, Hernandez’s confidence will be sky high right and with Madrid still in the chase for the double, he’ll be hoping to continue his influential performances.

As for what is going to happen to Hernandez in the summer, there is more than an air of uncertainty about where he’ll play his football next season.

Louis van Gaal remains unmoved by his recent upturn in form but Ancelotti has admitted Madrid will hold talks with United over the Mexican, so the possibility of him joining Madrid in a permanent deal can’t be ruled out just yet.

Chicharito’s recent performances are certainly increasing the possibility of a move to Madrid in the summer and if he keeps it up, Ancelotti will find it difficult to drop him at all from the starting XI even when everybody is fit.

Regardless of where his future lies, Chicharito will be happy with how the present is going now that he is back playing football and scoring goals regularly.
