Saidy Janko’s goal against Fulham has been nominated as Botlon Wanderers’ Juniors Goal of the Season at their end of year awards.
The 19-year-old received the ball on the edge of Fulham’s box, made space for himself and rifled in an unstoppable right-footed shot which gave the goalkeeper no chance of stopping it.
After what has been a good first loan spell away from Manchester United, this award will be the icing on the cake for Janko and should be something which gives some extra confidence.
Janko has been progressing very well ever since he joined the club from FC Zurich and is likely to be part of Man United’s pre-season tour of USA this year where he should get an opportunity to impress Louis van Gaal first hand.

With Rafael likely to be sold and Antonio Valencia not a natural right-back, there could be a chance for Janko to prove he should be considered as a backup for the position.
