Memphis Depay starts for PSV in last game of the season

Memphis Depay starts for PSV today in what will be his last game before completing his move to Manchester United.

There has been a lot of speculation this week as to whether Depay would play for PSV due to concerns he could potentially suffer an injury which would scupper his move to Old Trafford this week.

Depay would have three months to recover if he suffered any injury but it would surely place a question mark over whether he could complete his United medical next week.

From a sentimental perspective, Depay will be delighted that he is being allowed to start in PSV’s last game of the season having been instrumental in their Eredivisie winning campaign with 22 league goals to date.

From a United perspective, as long as he comes through today’s game unscathed then that is all that matters.

After PSV’s final home game of the season last weekend, Depay was given a standing ovation from the crowd and he’ll no doubt be given the same reception against ADO Den Haag today.
