Jamie Carragher loves Louis van Gaal and recommends Stretford End chant

by Sam Peoples

Jamie Carragher incensed plenty of Liverpool fans last night by admitting he loved Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman’s speech at the end of Manchester United’s annual awards was a sight to behold (click here to watch it) and without doubt the highlight of the whole evening.

Meanwhile in Liverpool last night at their annual awards, fans booed Raheem Sterling when he walked to pick his Young Player of the Year trophy, so fans were already on edge before Carragher sent out these tweets about Van Gaal’s speech.

Who knew Carragher would at some point be suggesting chants for the Stretford End to sing?

Gary Neville has certainly influenced Carragher’s analysis since he joined Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football by helping him to become a better pundit. Maybe he has now turned Carragher into a closet red as well? Hopefully not.

Last night was another night for Liverpool fans to get but United fans will be enjoying the aftermath of that end of season award ceremony for some time yet.
