Jasper Cillessen has insisted he has not heard anything with regards to any move this summer amid links with Manchester United.
Reports linking Cillessen with a move to United no doubt began due to the fact the Dutchman has already worked with Van Gaal but the Ajax shot-stopper says he unaware of any interest when quizzed about a reported switch to Old Trafford.
He told Omroep Gelderland: “I have not heard anything. First I want to beat Latvia with the Oranje and then we will see, but I have not signed a new contract at Ajax for nothing.”
Other than Cillessen, United are reportedly monitoring Petr Cech’s situation at Chelsea and are keen on bringing him to Old Trafford.
United’s chief executive Ed Woodward reportedly met with Jose Mourinho and Cech’s agent last week, although the meeting was later confirmed to be a mere coincidence.
Reports linking Cillessen to United are somewhat predictable given the fact he is Dutch and if De Gea does end up leaving this summer, expect these rumours to intensify.
