Danny Ings unsure over where future lies amid Manchester United interest

Burnley striker Danny Ings has admitted he doesn’t know where he will be playing his football next season amid rumoured interest from the likes of Manchester United.

Ings suffered the disappointment of relegation with Burnley this season but still managed to score 11 goals in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old is available as a free agent at the end of the season and Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be interested in him.

Ings revealed he will take a break over the summer before making a decision on his future.

Speaking about the situation, Ings said: ”My holiday’s the first thing on my mind. I’m looking forward to a bit of downtime and after that it’s going to be hard work again.

“It’s going to be a short summer for me this year but I love football so I’d play it every day if I could. After that I’ll sit down with my agent and discuss my future then. At the moment it’s all up in the air. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Louis van Gaal could certainly do worse than bring Ings in as a backup striker after the departure of Radamel Falcao this week.

Young, proven in the Premier League and available on a free transfer, the player seems to tick all the right boxes. However, it is unlikely that he will feature in many games at Old Trafford unless the club go through an injury crisis.
