Carlos Bacca scored twice on Wednesday night as Sevilla won their fourth Europa League title.
It was a remarkable story for the Colombian, who has enjoyed a heartwarming turnaround in fortunes after working as a bus driver’s assistant eight years ago in order to support his family.
There have been murmurs that Manchester United are interested in signing Bacca this season and the speculation will undoubtedly intensify after his superb display.
We asked our Twitter followers if they would be happy if Man United signed him:
@PeoplesPerson_ nah, same situation as Hernandez, brilliant poacher but would struggle with the rest

@PeoplesPerson_ Falcao scored a brace in the EL final too…

@PeoplesPerson_ nope, 29 early in the season and not top quality.

@PeoplesPerson_ To be fair he's scored 20+ goals for the last 6 seasons bar 1 where he was injured. I'd take him for the right price.

@PeoplesPerson_ another top goal scoring Colombian from the bbva? Nah I'd stay clear

@PeoplesPerson_ He's a very good goalscorer. But I feel United need much more than that, otherwise we'll just be buying another chicharito

@PeoplesPerson_ same mould as Chicha who should be given another go. MUFC need a striker who takes few touches but scores when chances come

The large majority of fans seem to be agreed that Bacca isn’t quite good enough for United.
Although the 29-year-old has a superb goalscoring record, there are question marks over the other aspects of his game.
In many ways, his style of play is similar to Javier Hernandez, who recently returned to Old Trafford following a loan spell at Real Madrid. The Mexican is a natural born goalscorer but hasn’t quite shown that he can offer the team more than that.
