Tottenham Hotspur insist Harry Kane will stay despite Manchester United interest

Tottenham Hotspur duo Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy have insisted Harry Kane will stay at White Hart Lane next season.

Kane enjoyed a fine season at Spurs and finished the campaign as their top scorer in what was a superb breakthrough with the London club.

The speculation surrounding his future intensified as a result and Manchester United were said to be preparing a £40m bid for his services.

However, Pochettino and Levy insisted the player would be going nowhere in a recent Q&A session on Facebook.

A fan asked the question “Is Harry Kane staying?” and both men replied by saying “Yes!”.

Although Kane has gone through a brilliant season there is little to suggest that he can keep that up in the years to come and against the top teams.

It would be highly unlikely that United would make a move for him and especially for the figures quoted. Perhaps if Kane keeps up his performance levels there may be movement from bigger clubs but, for now, he is best served continuing his development at Spurs.
