Manchester United lining up £25m bid for Raheem Sterling – report

Manchester United have already been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling over the last few weeks.

Those reports said Man United’s inquiry was rejected without even being considered, which is understandable given the context of United and Liverpool.

Now, the latest reports suggest Van Gaal has stepped up his interest in Sterling and the club is lining up a £25m bid for the want-away attacker.

Blood reached boiling point over United simply inquiring over Sterling, so the reaction to a potential £25m bid will be vicious.

Let’s be realistic about anything to do with Sterling – there is no way Liverpool are going to even entertain the thought of selling him to United.

The 21-year-old remains in contract so it is up to Liverpool where he moves to if he is going this summer and there’s probably more chance of Cristiano Ronaldo playing for United next season than Sterling.

That being said, even if Van Gaal is only throwing a bid in for Sterling to stir the pot at Anfield and cause some upheaval, keep going Louis because it’s working.
